Jack Shevel is a primary care physician turned entrepreneur and now runs the Shevel Family Office LLC in San Diego.

He was the founder and CEO of www.netcare.co.za [JSE: NTC], the largest integrated healthcare company outside the United States. Under his tenure Netcare delivered a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of > 30% for 10 consecutive years and owned and managed 112 hospitals with ~12 000 full service acute care beds supported by 14 000 dedicated staff.

Jack is currently Chair Emeritus of Toronto based www.carerx.ca [TSX: CRRX] which provides multidose packageing to 96 000 residents in 1 400 senior housing communities across Canada. Corporate Social Responsibility and the welfare of healthcare workers has always attracted his attention.

His greatest personal achievement was working with President Nelson Mandela to form the Walter Sizulu Paediatric Cardiac Center for Africa which saved over 400 children that needed surgery for congenital heart disease.

NTC received a commendation in the House of Commons from Tony Blair for their ISTC innovation in the NHS. He has served on committees with the Gates Foundation, World Bank and IFC to improve peoples’ lives and health in Africa.

The US granted him O-1 visa status for outstanding work when his soulmate and 4 children emigrated in 2006.

Jack is working with his children, Daniella and Sean, on this legacy project. The Shevel Family Office will be the Sponsor and will invest €35M (40%) with other investors into the Portuguese REIT(SIGI.SA).
In his free time Jack loves to play golf, watch sports, and spend time with his family.

A manager since 1998, he graduated in Economics, has a post-graduate degree in Fiscal Management of Organizations and Management and Supervision of Credit Institutions, and an MBA by (AESE-IESE Business School).

He began his career in the commercial area, having progressed to positions of direction, management, and supervision of companies in various sectors of activity and companies. His career in the commercial area includes Lidl & Cia retailer and Unicer (Super Bock Group), among other companies. He then moved into the public sector, as a municipal company Executive Director, a period that allowed him to lead areas of planning, licensing and management of the territory and urban planning, among other areas.

His connection to the area of health began with his position as Executive Director of a Primary Health Centres, where he led the provision of primary health care to several municipalities (ACES Sotavento). He returned to the private sector, this time as a Hospital Unit Director and as a member of the management board of companies of HPA – Hospital Particular do Algarve. He also joined a software company – Omnibees Inteligent Hotel Distributuion management board, and he is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of a cooperative bank, Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo.

Since 2018, the year he met Jack Shevel, he has started his activity in the Life Plan Resorts project, assuming the position of CEO since May 2022.

His management experience in the health field has transformed the way he wants to help others. He is deeply moved by the pleasure of managing and motivating teams. In this journey of Life Plan Resorts he combines the two dimensions, personal and professional, in a full way. Fully committed to Life Plan Resorts, Pedro believes that as a team he has the honor of participating in a very special project for the future, for clients, employees, for the brand and the Group.

Fernando Aguilar Silva began his career in Mexico City specialized in Hotel Operations Management, where he played a major role in strategy and financial planning, implementing procedures, building teamwork structures, guidelines, logistics, and creating bylaws to promote the company’s culture and vision with his exceptional passion and enthusiasm for hospitality, along with special expertise in the creative world of food and beverage. Fernando opened borders across the globe, where he has delighted in various properties in the United States, Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America, exploring unique cultures and gaining invaluable experience throughout openings, rebranding, and renovations, and skilfully managing large and complex operations. Over the years, he has honoured his skills to fine art, leading with vision, inventiveness, and establishing workplace cultures of genuine hospitality.

Throughout his distinguished 32-year career, he has held senior leadership positions in numerous large international luxury hospitality companies such as: Rosewood Hotel & Resorts, highlighting “Las Ventanas al Paraiso” awarded three times consecutive as the “Best Hotel in the World”; Baha Mar & The Mansion at Turtle Creek; Viceroy Hotels & Resorts in Mexico, Miami and St. Lucia; Vila Vita Parc in Algarve, Portugal; Resorts World Genting Casinos in the Bahamas, among others. Fernando enhanced his career to an exclusive Private Real Estate Residential & Golf Community with Discovery Land Company; opened and leaded Chileno Bay Club in Los Cabos, Mexico. There, Fazio’s World-Class Golf Course was recognized as “#17th Best Golf Course in the World”.

Fernando’s personal values are based on family, love, and empathy. He believes that creating a well-balanced and healthy life is what leads to lasting well-being. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and children. He is a car enthusiast and loves to tinker with them, his hobbies include experimenting with the latest technology gadgets, loves beautiful watches and he is always surrounded by music.

Sean’s previous work experience includes roles for various US based real estate companies on Acquisition/Development teams. He led the acquisition of multifamily projects and was responsible for the sourcing, pro forma analysis, and debt & equity placement. Sean has served on the board of the Shevel Family Office LLC since 2016 which has an extensive real estate portfolio and track record across asset classes both domestically and internationally. Sean is also responsible for the oversight and growth of the Shevel Family Office’s real estate portfolio.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human and Organizational Development, with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness from Vanderbilt University along with a minor in Spanish. Sean is an avid golfer/sports fan and enjoys the outdoors.
